Six Simple Steps to Take for a Post Travel Reset

Unpack your bags, as soon as you get home – don’t sit and wait on it, it’s the biggest task post travel, and once you get all your clothes clean and back where they belong again, you’ll feel much more grounded. Put your suitcase away as soon as possible too, no one wants it laying about the house.

Clean your tech – Headphones, iPad, phone screen, the best thing you can do is give them a really good clean and sanitise. It will help to make you feel refreshed and reset again, but just as you wouldn’t want to pick back and put on the clothes you spent all day travelling in, technically – you’re doing that with your technology. Give it a clean!

Clean your makeup brushes – On that note, there’s no better feeling than a makeup brush clean! Again, it will make you feel really fresh and homely, but also set you up for getting back into a routine.

Give your car a deep clean, inside and out – This will help with those holiday blues, because it will make you feel good, and put together. Don’t have a car? It pretty much applies to any space, your bedroom, your home. It will make you feel so much better.

Fresh bedding and pyjamas – Hopefully this is a given, but honestly. Is there any better feeling? Especially, when you’ve been away from your own bed too.

Put some fresh flowers out – Go to your local shop, grab a fresh bunch of flowers, and set them out in the space you spend the most time. It’s such a lovely treat – it needn’t cost the world either, we love those Β£2 bunches of lilies from Aldi for when I’m short on cut flowers in the garden!
