Oh my goodness, I LOVE these posts and videos. I don’t care who it is, I’m just obsessed with them, and I have been ever since I was a teenager. Apart from the obvious handbag obsession, I think I find that the inside of someones handbag, is almost like a little window into their personality. I’ve also always been really into keeping the inside of my handbags really clean, structured and organised – and find something so special and secretive about the contents. I’ve been meaning to throw together my own little fun version for a while…
A good pen – My pens of choice are Kaweco, I keep mine in a little leather pouch from Choosing Keeping, and in there fits the tin box they come in perfectly. I keep both a fountain pen and matching ballpoint pen in mine, as the boxes fit two pens in each.
A good notebook – Another obsession. The Antoinette Poisson notebooks are my favourite, and I like to keep mine on me at all times for capturing any little illustrations that stem from inspiration – I also tape in little pressed flowers, and basically just anything that inspires me or that I find beautiful. Then the bigger monochrome notebook I keep as a general life scrapbook / moodboard type journal.
My makeup bag – A given really, and this pink Dior one holds all my bits and pieces together perfectly. Lip liner, face powder, lipstick x38383, lip balm, mascara, eyeliner, basically all the little essentials.
Perfume, face spritz and hand sanitiser – Again, I don’t think I need to write war and peace here… but I like to carry the Byredo hair perfumes on me, as they are smaller and more compact and perfect for top ups. The fresh beauty face spritz is an essential, and a good hand sanitiser is a handbag staple.
A book – I always carry the book I’m reading on me, as you never know when you might get a moment. My latest is What It Feels Like for a Girl by Paris Lees. I always – no matter what – have a copy of The Goddess Guide on me too, because it’s like a permanent inspiration scrapbook. I actually purchased the paperback version especially so I could keep it in handbags (I have the hardback on my bookshelf). It’s my most treasured book.
AirPods – For listening to all my favourite podcasts.
Car Key and Key Pouch – I’ve had this LV key pouch for over five years now, and it’s honestly still as perfect as the day I bought it. Given its probably one of my most used items, I’d say that’s pretty good going.
