Lots of New Stationery

It’s been a while since I’ve done a good old stationery haul, and given I finally finished my exams (after three years) this December… I thought there was no better opportunity to treat myself to some gorgeous new bits.

I’m such a fan of the Kaweco brand – often mistaken for a Japanese brand – they’re a German brand that are famous for making really high quality fountain pens. I have one of the smaller handbag sized ones, and really love using it, so I took the plunge and purchased one of the bigger sizes, as well as the ballpoint pen to match. Each pen comes in its own beautiful tin case, which I think should just get more special, as they age. To mark the occasion I also purchased two of their hand blown glass tree ornaments – one for the Christmas tree, but one to actually use as an ornament on my desk at home. I’ve homed it in the stunning pen pot I purchased from Choosing Keeping, and it just looks magnificent and really unusual.

One of my New Years resolutions (I only make really nice, fun resolutions these days) is to fill lots and lots of pretty notebooks with my drawings, and so I purchased two more – but two really special ones – to add to my ever growing collection.

If you often look at my blog, I’m guessing you’ll know how much of a fan of illustrators I am; and so I treat myself to more gorgeous cards from some of my favourites; Scribble & Daub – these are actually gift cards, but I’m going to use them as gorgeous little prints to stick out and keep in my new notebooks; and I also treat myself to lots of their dried flowers too – again, for exactly the same use. Ahh, don’t you just love a new stationery haul – one of lifes little pleasures!
