Let’s Talk All Things Neom Pod

I was kindly gifted my first Neom Pod from a friend about two years ago and since then, well, it’s been a bit of a slippery slope… you see, I’ve become some what of a Neom Pod addict – which is fantastic for my home, maybe not so much for the old bank balance. If it wasn’t obvious from the pictures, two years on, I now own all three sizes – the luxe pod, the wellbeing pod, and the mini pod; but each one does serve a different purpose (this is me trying to justify it to myself – *eyeroll*; and last week, I had a friend asking me what the difference was, and which one I think she should purchase, and so I thought it might be useful to put together a quick little guide based on my experiences.

The luxe pod is the biggest of the three options. I use this one in my lounge and it fills the space amazingly. Not too much, not too little, just right; and you can also turn the intensity up or down. You fill it with water, and it’s advised to use about 30 drops of oil per fill; this lasts me anywhere from three days, to two weeks, dependent on how long I leave it on for. It’s the only one that’s remote controlled, which is really useful, though not necessary for the two smaller sizes – and can also be used as a calming light too; it even has a breathing guide for times where you really need to destress. This one is my favourite, purely based on the additional extras.

The wellbeing pod, the original model and middle size is – in my opinion – the best place to start, and the one I always recommend to gift when asked. This one is used in my bedroom, and again fills the room perfectly with scent. It can also be used as a relaxing light, and can be timed to stay on for a set number of hours, or just run continuously. Again, this one is filled with water, and you’re recommended to use 5 – 10 drops of oil per fill. This lasts me about a week, mainly as I don’t have it on as much as the larger option, due to not being in our bedroom as much as the lounge. As I say, I’ve had mine for almost two years now, and I can’t find any fault with it, I still use it so much; and I’d happily say it’s probably one of the best gifts in terms of usefulness, and thoughtfulness (as I was sent it when we were in the thick of the very first lockdown, a really stressful period) that I’ve ever recieved.

The mini pod is (clearly) the smallest of the three offerings, and is also a really great price point. No water for this one, you can literally pop the bottle of oil straight in, and I’m yet to run out of one so far… I use mine in my car, and have it on every single time I drive – that being said – I have been working from home the majority of the time, so obviously don’t always use the car daily. This one is powered by a USB cable that goes into the standard port – I’ve even powered mine with my work laptop before! Scent throw is again fantastic, but it’s not a continuous stream due to there being no oil dilution – it pumps out every few minutes, though again you can amend the frequency. It fills my car nicely, and isn’t overpowering at all; yet I always get asked by people what it is, so it clearly makes a statement. I can’t comment on using it in a room, really – I did use it for a few hours once when working, but I didn’t venture far from the laptop when it was in use. Perfect for small spaces though, and really convenient for travel.

Hopefully you’ve found this helpful – to be honest, you can’t really go wrong with any of them, and I honestly do find them all fantastic and use each one just as much as the other. A really quick (but hopefully useful) side note, because I didn’t know this before I got into the pods; but some essential oils can actually be harmful for animals – so if you do purchase one and intend to use it in your home, you may need to be selective with the scent blend you use, as not all of them will be suitable.
