The Book Obsession Continues

My latest pile of favourites – some familiar old faces, and some gorgeous new additions…

The Goddess Experience by Gisele Scanlon

If I could have one (well, technically two) favourite book(s) ever; it would have to be The Goddess Guide books. The Goddess Guide is the book I’ve kept with me the longest, and is what inspired me to create my blog to begin with. The one pictured is The Goddess Experience, part two of the set. I remember when it was released years ago, I used my last bit of student money to jump on the bus to Waterstones and grab a copy – picking it up still fills me with that same excitement. It’s like a stunning scrapbook of happiness. I recently read a review that stated “there’s not a woman alive that wouldn’t love it” and I’d say they got that one pretty spot on. These two books will stay on my bookshelf even when the pages are yellowing and old. They’re like little treasures to me.

David Hockney: A Chronology by Taschen

I LOVE this book, so much. I love it that much, I bought two copies, one for downstairs, one for upstairs. My Mum said I must have money to burn… nope, it’s just that special. Hockney is my favourite artist, but even if he isn’t yours, any budding art lover would enjoy this I think. So lovely to just dip in and out of for some complete escapism.

Joy in the Little Things by Kerrie Hess

Oh my goodness this is me in a book! It’s incredible. Lighthearted, gorgeous, and fun. Its basically just a collection of gorgeous things the author enjoys; and how to incorporate them into a beautiful life. I’ll always treasure this because I just find it so relatable and find it captures my own interests and obsessions perfectly.

Pretty City London

If you enjoy visiting London, and you enjoy Instagram – I think you’ll particularly enjoy this book. The pictures are that stunning, just those would do themselves! But actually, there’s lots of cool information and advice that will really help you make the most of your visit, and discover lots of hidden treasures that the city has to offer. I’m not joking when I say that this book is stunning, I literally can’t put it down at the moment.

A Year in Cake by Peggy Porschen

This is really stunning, as I’m sure you would imagine from Peggy Porschen. I love how it’s divided by the seasons; and even if you’ll never get around to baking the recipes, it’s still just a beautiful book to own, in my opinion.
