Chanel Bois Des Iles EDP

This is another one where I’m not entirely sure why it’s taken me so long to introduce to the blog, because I’ve literally worn it for years. It’s almost become a bit of a signature scent, though only in the colder months, it’s very heady and would be way too much for summer. It’s from the Chanel seasons collection, fragrances the house has made for each season, and ones which I feel are the lesser known options from the fragrance offerings Chanel have put out. Though I’m not sure why, as in my opinion these are just impeccable, especially Bois Des Iles.

The fragrance is said to invoke the smell of autumn, the forest, and the odour of the great dark woods… which may explain why I love it so much. It was actually created in 1926, so it really is a classic. Theres a complexity of notes which include bergamot, neroli, peach, jasmine, rose, lily of the valley, iris, ylang-ylang, vetiver, sandalwood, benzoin and musk; all which conclude into a predominantly woody, slightly sweet amber musk scent.

As you may imagine from Chanel, projection and longevity are huge; and though it’s a pricier option – I just can’t see a bottle ever running out, especially the bigger one. I used to have the 50ml bottle, and it honestly took me years to get through, so it is worth the money. Just divine.
