Le Labo Santal 33 & The Noir 29

I have a ridiculous obsession with Le Labo, they can literally do no wrong for me – I just can’t get enough of their fragrances, but there are two that I find really, really special: Santal 33 and The Noir 29.

First of all, Le Labo fragrances are pricey, but you get what you pay for. They are so long lasting, and project beautifully; but the thing that really sets them apart for me, is that I never ever get any artificial smell from them. They are so individual, fresh, delicate, yet command attention at the same time; they’re pretty incredible as far as fragrance goes.

Santal 33 is one of the most intoxicating scents I’ve ever tried, but I do think it’s a personal one, and it may be an acquired taste. It’s peppery, woody, almost medicinal – but in the most beautiful way. I’ve never smelt anything else like it and I really do hope they never stop making it. It’s a really complex scent, one that’s quite hard to describe – but my goodness is it special.

The Noir 29 is again, woody, peppery, but also quite delicate, earthy and powdery at times. It’s much more feminine than Santal 33, and sometimes reminds me of a luxurious and beautiful spa. Again, it’s really unique, and just brings me so much joy when I wear it. I often find myself picking up the bottle and having a sniff for no other reason than just because… It’s such a treat, absolutely stunning.
