Gucci The Last Day of Summer

I was so excited to blog about this perfume, because honestly, I feel like I’ve discovered something a little bit magical. I won’t lie, the bottle completely drew me to this, along with the name – given it’s my absolute favourite time of the year – that combined with the gorgeous alchemy style packaging, well it just felt like me in a bottle to be honest.

I never recommend blind buying fragrances, as I’d say probably 70% of the time it hasn’t really worked out for me, but oh my goodness this one did; to the point where if I could only ever wear one fragrance again in my life… this one may well just be it.

It is, as the name suggests, just like the last day of summer – it’s a very autumnal scent, very earthy, woody, aromatic… it reminds me of an autumnal walk through my favourite woodland. It’s also very sophisticated – I imagine it’s how someone with lots of money would smell (which is probably correct given the bloody price!), but the price in my opinion is worth it, because I’ve not experienced another quite like it, and anything unique – I’m all for.

It has a good projection, and a decent longevity – what you’d expect for the price point. Notes of Cedarwood, Cyoressm, Nutmeg, Patchouli and Vetiver (taken from the website) combine into something really special, and like I say, a little bit magical. I love it, and I will 100% re purchase – I think it may even be my new signature scent.
