Sushi, Shopping and Lots of Cake…

I thought I’d do another little chatty photo diary, as life feels a lot different since the last time I did one. Lockdown is slowly coming to an end here in the UK, and I think everyone is starting to see, and feel little glimmers of hope, I know I certainly am. I’ve started feeling really positive and excited about the future again, and it’s really helping make these last couple of months of lockdown so much easier.

A few weeks ago, I was really missing those days with friends when we would go shopping, then have a nice lunch somewhere and a few cocktails; and so I decided to make an event of it at home instead, with some gorgeous sushi, home made cocktails, some pink desserts, and a little online splurge… the results of which will be in a blog post over the next few days! It was a really nice bit of me time, and escapism – and helped bring a little bit of glamour to the what can be quite a routine, non eventful time during lockdown. Obviously there’s quite a lot of food there – I just wanted to mention that it was just me and my other half at home, as we are still in a full lockdown here – but I couldn’t choose between the desserts, so got both, and froze some!

We’ve also been really productive at home over the past few weeks, and have completely redone our spare bedroom, office and bathroom. It’s made the house feel so lovely, new and fresh – and really put me in the mood for Spring.

I also treat myself to a gorgeous planter from our local garden centre last weekend, and had loads of fun planting new seeds in there. It felt so nice to be outside and planting new life. I planted a mix of some established little plants, which will get bigger – then I filled the rest of the space with herb seeds, and I can’t wait to see some little shoots from them!

Speaking of the outdoors, I’ve again been enjoying discovering lots of lovely walks – something I 100% want to keep doing once lockdowns are a thing of the past – and so thought I’d add a couple of the pictures I took on here for you to enjoy.
