A Bit More Beauty Pie

FullSizeRender-33

I keep going through these phases with Beauty Pie… one minute I love it, the next I lose all interest and deactivate my membership. Then all of a sudden, like right now – I’m absolutely obsessed again – and start contemplating a higher tiered membership, just so I can purchase more!

I really need to remember this, because honestly, Beauty Pie is decent. I still haven’t tried the makeup, and to be honest; it doesn’t really interest me… but the skincare and fragrance – worth it. Really worth it. This month I picked up some new additions – and I’m really pleased with all four – so much so, I’m counting down the days until my renewal, so that I can reload up my shopping bag. Ah, I think I’m back to being Beauty Pie addicted…

Super Healthy Skin Deep Purifying Cleanser

It’s a cleanser… I’m not going to write an essay. Is it a good cleanser? Yes. Would I buy it again? Yes! It makes my skin feel really clean, and also lovely and pillowy soft. I do need to put a moisturiser on afterwards though – although you always should anyway – but I suppose what I’m saying is although it leaves my skin feeling nice and soft, I feel that if I left things there, my skin wouldn’t feel so healthy the next morning – nothing major, but it’s a deep clean, and it needs to be followed with a little moisture.

Brazilian Lime, Fig Leaves & Tea Perfume

I really didn’t have high hopes for this… but actually, I was so wrong. I wish I had discovered these perfumes before now – they really are on par with the expensive brands. Upon first spray, I found this quite soapy, and I wasn’t sure – but it quickly dried down to a gorgeous, uplifting, daytime scent. These wouldn’t replace my evening favourites – the sillage and longevity aren’t quite there – but for the price, you really can’t go wrong here. I’d definitely re purchase.

Sheer Tinted Oil Free SPF 20

This is good you know! Really good… I’m so apprehensive about tinted moisturisers. I’ve tried SO many, and most fall flat, and I’m back to loading on the foundation. But this one, especially for the price, is very, very good. It’s on par with a famous tinted moisturiser (most beauty addicts will know it as the tinted moisturiser – a clue, the packaging shape and size is very familiar) but that one is like triple the price… The colour was a good match for me, the finish was great, and the coverage was impressive (this is where previous ones fall flat for me). It gave me a nice healthy colour, and just made my skin look like itself… but a bit healthier! Did it make me look like a walking Instagram filter? No. Has it completely replaced my foundation? No. But it’s a great product for those low key days.

Super Healthy Hair Blow Dry Spray

The heat protection spray I never knew I needed! I will keep buying this again and again – one because it smells like coconut (my absolute favourite scent), and two, because it genuinely seems to improve the condition and appearance of my hair. I erm… also can’t quite believe now after using one, that I got to the grand old age of 32 without ever using a heat protection spray on my hair. I guess I’ll have to keep repeat purchasing this one, as I clearly have a lot of making up to do…
