Another lovely birthday done, albeit a slightly different feel to previous ones. Nonetheless, I still had the best day. Obviously this year, things weren’t shall we say “normal”, most restaurants were still closed, and we were limited on activities we could do to celebrate – but I still managed to have an absolutely fantastic time.
I received so many gorgeous presents and surprises from my family and friends; including an amazing planter for the garden, from my mum, and these beautiful sunflowers too.
We also celebrated with this gorgeous chocolate sweetie cake (chocolate orange flavour, to be precise).
The weather didn’t let me down… it usually never does on my birthday – and we spent it in Knaresborough with my mum, sister and nephew. We had ice creams, a ride on the boats, and a mooch around one of my favourite shops.
To finish the day, and make the most of the gorgeous weather, we then all retreated to my Mums garden, where we had a fire complete with toasted marshmallows, and enjoyed a greek takeout and some beers.
Sorry this blog is a bit shorter than my usual birthday catchup posts are – obviously, as I said, times are a little different this year – and we were limited to what we could do. Regardless, I hope you still enjoyed the pictures, I really did have such a lovely day!
