The Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte Darling Palette

In all honesty, I didn’t have high hopes for this one… another Charlotte Tilbury palette release, that to be blunt, I didn’t really see the point of. We have the collection of gorgeous quads, we have the limited edition one off releases, why do we now need another offering to fritter our money away on?

Anyway, all that being said, silly old me still ended up falling for the hype… as usual! But actually, as soon as I received it and got to test it out in person, I got it. I got it (the hype that is), and I completely fell in love with the palette.

Yes we have the quads, which in effect are individual looks. But to be fair, there is a basic day to night, simple, easy to wear every day palette missing from the collection, and this is it. It’s a brilliant, easy, starter palette that is ideal for makeup lovers, pros and novices alike. It’s a lovely hybrid of pinky, terracotta and browny – bronze shades, that can be mixed and matched and all work well together. Three shimmers, three mattes that form a perfect basic palette, that is actually anything but basic.

Do you need it? I think it’s a good makeup bag essential to be honest. If you were looking to invest in a palette from Charlotte Tilbury, and didn’t have one in your collection – I’d strongly recommend this one. If you have quite a few of the palettes, you can probably save your money, and mix and match those. But all in all, this is a brilliant all rounder that I’m pleased to have sitting in my collection.
