Quite possibly one of my favourite blogs I’ve ever written… last week I had the most gorgeous, girly weekends in London and documented it all through lots and lots of beautiful pictures. I love putting together these little visual chatty posts, they’re probably my favourite kind; and so I hope you enjoy it just as much as I do.
First stop when we got to London was Belgravia for some lunch, cocktails, and of course cake. Savoury indulgence of choice was Sticks n Sushi for, well, as the name would suggest… sushi. Thoroughly enjoyed, and to make it even nicer, we got to eat outside too.
No trip to London for me is ever complete, without enjoying a cake at Peggy Porschen. I know there’s lots of other cafes that have popped up which are following a similar concept now, but Peggy Porschen is the original for me, and I adore it.
No food wasted here! As if all that wasn’t enough… we then ventured over to Soho for the most indulgent hot chocolate you ever did see; and yes, I also finished that – well… three quarters of it.
Endless food tour of London complete, we then went for a wander down Carnaby Street and also for a little shop at Liberty, because… well did you even go to London if you didn’t visit Liberty?
By this point we were pretty exhausted on our feet, as you can imagine, so it was over to a nearby bar to enjoy pink cocktails in the sun and watch the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly Circus go by.
Day two was all about the socialising, and we started off with drinks at The Prince. The Prince is basically a huge London pub that has relaxed vibes and the most wonderful and huge enclosed beer garden. We enjoyed espresso martinis galore here, and just spend a good few hours drinking, chatting and basically catching up.
After a good few espresso martinis, it was time for something carby to soak everything up, so we ventured upstairs to grab a pizza to share. The pizza was huge, and it was also gorgeous… however between three of us, we still didn’t manage to finish it all!
Once evening time came around, we changed location and headed over to Jak’s on Kings Road, at the recommendation of my friend. This place is so, so up my street. It’s a restaurant that opens up into a brick walled bar with lots of sofas, and a wonderful cocktail and wine menu. Things are really chilled out and relaxed, and at about 11pm the vibe starts to change, the music ups and everyone is on their feet dancing.
Once our feet could take no more, it was time for an Uber and a Mcdonalds!
On the Sunday, our final day, we kicked things off with Dior afternoon tea at The Berkeley in Knightsbridge. This was such a treat – but I’m going to do a full blog post on it, so I won’t delve into too much detail on this post.
We then had a little stroll over to Covent Garden for a drink, bite to eat and a walk around. Again, Covent Garden is a must when in London – I always try to make the effort to go there when I visit the city.
I also picked up a box of Doughnut Time vegan doughnuts whilst I was there. They were amazing! I’m not vegan myself, but I have so much admiration for people who are, and always try my best to make positive changes – it’s a bonus when they’re as easy as this too! They were meant to be a gift for my boyfriend… but we of course ended up sharing them.
After all that walking, shopping, eating and chatting, it was time to head home; and so we black cabbed it back to Kings Cross where we enjoyed a drink and some Yo Sushi in the station, before the journey back.
