I’m pretty certain that everyone is familiar now with the iconic Pillow Talk lipstick & liner… if you aren’t, where have you been?! It was therefore no surprise that the world went absolutely crazy earlier this month, when Ms Tilbury announced she was releasing an eyeshadow palette and blusher in the same shade.
I’ve ranted and raved about the Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadows on here many a time, on the pricier end of the scale for an eyeshadow palette, but in my opinion completely worth that price thanks to the quality, performance of the product and to be completely honest.. just the lovely feeling you actually get from owning one of these – they are the ultimate treat – and would make a lovely Christmas gift for any struggling men out there… hint hint!
When I first opened it, I wasn’t too sure if it would work with my paler skin tone, for some reason it looked ever so slightly darker than I was expecting; but that isn’t actually the case when you apply it to your skin. I’d say it’s probably the most complimentary eyeshadow palette that Charlotte Tilbury has made so far, in terms of my own skin tone. You get the usual four shades, including the infamous “pop” shimmer option, and this is what makes these palettes really stand out on the market. I did read one review on the website stating that the pop shadow on this palette was super dry and chalky, I didn’t find that on mine at all, in fact I’d say it’s probably one of the most intense shimmer shades (that’s a really good thing, by the way) of the whole range. The palette very much reminds me of bridal makeup, and I’m actually contemplating purchasing another one so that it can be used on my wedding day.
Now unfortunately, that’s where you need to move fast; as it’s only a limited edition. I can’t for the life of me think why, it would make such a perfect permanent addition to the range, and considering how popular it’s been, I can’t see there is going to be a shortage of people reaching out for it again – hopefully they may consider bringing it back as a permanent addition; but right now, it does keep going in and out of stock, so do be sure to grab one if it’s something you feel is needed in your own collection. In the meantime, I’ll be over here campaigning for a permanent addition!
