An Autumnal Homeware Haul

My boyfriend and I have just bought a new house (I know its technically now fiancΓ©, but I always feel a little pretentious saying that… I’m not sure why?), and so naturally I’ve now become seriously obsessed with everything homeware… My urge to buy new makeup and clothes has pretty much been completely replaced by just wanting to purchase the entirety of the Anthropologie home section to kit out our new home.

We are hopefully moving in a few weeks, right in time for cosy evenings in front of the TV with the heating on, scented candles, comfort foods, pyjamas and blankets… then edging into Christmas tree season – I think this is the thing I’m MOST excited about, putting up my Christmas tree in our beautiful new home. Anyway, because of this, I’ve been adding a few Autumny bits here and there so that everything can be ready for my favourite season, when we finally get to move in.

An Autumnal Homeware Haul

Now first things first, the pumpkin. It’s from Homesense and it’s my FAVOURITE. THING. EVER. They have loads in at the moment, so go check it out if that’s your kind of thing. Anthropologie, Homesense and The White Company are pretty much my go to’s for anything house at the moment, so it makes sense that the majority of the haul features heavy with these three shops. Second on the agenda was The White Company for a re stock of their winter products – if these don’t get you into the autumn / winter spirit, nothing will. Their Winter candle is a must for me come November (I never allow myself to burn it before November) so I picked up the huge botanical version, and also a couple of home sprays; one being the winter fragrance to compliment the candle, and I also picked up two pomegranates too.

I usually go for the glass versions of The White Company candles, but this time I opted for the botanical version, the reason being, is because I’d seen a beautiful charger plate in Zara Home that I knew I really wanted, but wasn’t too sure what I could do with it… then it struck me that it would make the perfect candle plate, ideal for the large botanical candle sizes too, which means I can restock each season and not have to worry about what to home them on (plus the botanical candles are slightly cheaper, as you’re not paying for as much packaging – huge bonus. You can’t actually see the charger plate too well in the picture I took, so I’ve made sure to include it on the “Shop the Post” feature at the bottom of the page, incase you wanted a better look. I also picked up a beautiful mirrored tray from Zara Home, which I’m going to use as my new perfume tray for my dressing table when we move.

I love love love having blooms all around the house, but they are extremely high maintenance to keep up to; so last year I started looking into permanent but realistic options. There are some lovely pieces online, but I got a local florist to make me up a selection to display in our living room. We currently have a huge bouquet in there at the moment that gets so so much attention, but I’m going to move that one into the bedroom and put the new one in our living room.

Next stop Anthropologie for ALL the trinkets, seriously this place does the best and most beautiful little trinkets. I picked up a few rose quartz coasters for the bedside tables, and I’m also going to grab a few more to display my crystals on next time I’m passing. I also got a gorgeous little trinket dish that currently has no use whatsoever, but I just couldn’t leave store without it… and just look at these amazing salt and pepper pots I picked up – I don’t think I’ve ever been so interested in a salt shaker in all my life. I did also pick up the pink plant pot that’s in the picture below; however I stupidly forgot to include it in my own haul video, but that one’s going to take pride of place in the bathroom as soon as we are in.

An Autumnal Homeware Haul

Have you been picking up any new homeware pieces at the moment? I always think there’s something about September and the kind of “newness” of it all, that makes me want to change up my home, regardless of a move or not. Also, if you have any go to shops that sell pieces similar to the ones I’ve picked up, I’d absolutely love to hear about them…
