Jo Malone Queen of Pop Collection

Jo Malone Queen of Pop Poppy Delevingne From Poppy with Love

I got me some Jo Malone X Poppy Delevingne! Okay guys, I know I have been raaaaaaaving so much about Jo Malone on here recently – I do anyway, it’s my favourite shop – however, I realise there has been a lot this month. I’m sorry, I just can’t help it; they are releasing so much good stuff at the moment… I don’t know what’s going on! I’m not actually that interested in limited edition collections either, usually, but Tropical Cherimoya (hello fragrances with a hint of coconut – best. sent. ever.) and Queen of Pop (yes to candy pink stripes) were just so very, very me… it had to be done. Plus, I always say that my little internet space is for sharing everything I love… and Jo Malone, I love.

Queen of Pop is a fun, quirky, striking collection designed by Jo Malone ambassador (amongst many other amazing things) Poppy Delevingne. There’s three of each item on offer in the range, and each item also comes in a choice of three traditional Jo Malone scents. The scented candles are what first caught my attention to the collection, in fact, that was super modest – they got me extremely excited about the collection… the special design is available in either Blackberry & Bay, Grapefruit, or Basil & Neroli. I chose Blackberry & Bay, just because that’s my favourite of all the Jo Malone scents.

There’s also three 30ml colognes; Amber & Lavender, Peony & Blush Suede, and Red Roses. I did decide to give these ones a miss, just because I have two of those colognes already, so it seemed slightly excessive for me to get them just for the bottle design, plus once the fragrance is finished, there isn’t much you can do with it; whereas the candle you can keep forever and use as a pretty trinket pot etc.. And finally, there’s a bubble bath – yes a freaking bubble bath! – this makes me so happy as I bloody love bubble baths! Fingers crossed for us seeing more of these in the future… but right now, these are available in Velvet Rose & Oud, Black Cedarwood & Juniper, and Nectarine Blossom & Honey. Velvet Rose & Oud was my first choice, however this one sold out pretty quickly (sob) and I just wasn’t fast enough, so instead I went with a trusty old favourite Black Cedarwood & Juniper.

I haven’t used the bubblebath just yet, so I can’t really comment on its performance – but Jo Malone know their bath products, hence me having no hesitation about snapping one up. The bottle is super huge too, at 500g – which is double the size of the large bath oil bottles (for comparison). My only issue is, I’m not sure if it’s too pretty to use (not really an issue then), it looks incredible in my bathroom, and I don’t want to ruin it – but I was thinking I could refill it with the bath oils instead once I’ve used it up… I just want all my baths pouring from a pretty pink container, okay!

The incredible offerings just keep coming from Jo Malone this year, and I’m extremely excited to see what’s next from the brand… but right now, excuse me whilst me and my rubber duck go indulge in an array of scented bubbles… perfection!
