My Favourite Tea Shop

T2 Tea

I’ve developed a major tea obsession recently. Pretty teacups, teapots, flavoured infusions and matcha, chai & rooibos concoctions are taking up a great deal of space right now in my kitchen; and there’s one thing this endless array of products all have in common – they’re all from my absolute favourite shop ever, T2.

I discovered this place when I was in Australia a few years ago, and I was delighted (literally, delighted) when they brought it over to the UK. I remember both of my friends that live over there showing me their beautiful collections, both were obsessed with the place… and that’s what kicked off my own obsession. I still get that same excitement when I go into one of their stores, as I did when I first discovered it back then. My first ever purchase from there was a gorgeous red Indian print teacup and saucer, I wrapped it SO carefully in my suitcase and worried about it the whole flight home (kind of realising as I write this how much of a loser that makes me sound!)… but yeah, it made it home in one piece and it’s something that makes me smile every time I take it out from the cupboard, thanks to all the lovely memories of that trip. I’m in my happy place when I drink from it.

My second teacup was a birthday gift from my boyfriend, which also makes it super special. This was at the time when their very first store had opened in London, and again, I remember being so, so excited that I could now get items delivered from this whimsical teapot fairytale shop. The aqua tea pot you can see in my picture, I bought that as a cheer up gift for myself when my Grandma passed away; which again is now something that makes me smile and feel happy every time I look at it. One of the Moroccan teacups, I bought to congratulate myself on taking a big step study wise in my career – so I now have a sense of achievement every time I use that one… and then some of the items I own, I purchased, well just because they were too beautiful not to.

T2 Tea

Now a girl has to have something to make use of all this tea ware, right?! Well T2 has you sorted on that front too; walk into any store and there are hundreds and hundreds of orange cubes lining the walls, full of wonderful and mysterious flavours. Some of my favourites are the Strawberries & Cream loose leaf tisane (which can also be used for making iced tea), the creamy choc chai; and the newest addition – Cacao Kapow – a chocolate tea mix that’s super beneficial for you health wise. It can be quite easy to get lost when scouring the walls for a certain flavour, so a little tip I realised recently is that all the tea types are colour coded dependant on type – as an example, if you’re looking for the white tea, head towards the white labels, etc. How I have onlyΒ just worked this out is beyond me…Β There’s also always plenty of samples when you go in there, and I honestly find the staff so happy and genuinely friendly whenever I visit. Oh, and the packaging is pretty on point too… you know, just as an extra little bonus.

Thank you T2 – thanks for being my happy place.
