Healthy Food at WOLFØX Leeds

WOLFØX Leeds

Do huge brunch bowls filled full to the brim with good, nutritious, wholesome food sound your thing this new year? How about serving that with a Nutella latte? If that sounds like your kinda thing, you need to check out WOLFØX. Recently rebranded from being known as SIX, comes an exciting and innovative dining establishment that has a passion for fresh ingredients and flavour. It’s not just breakfast and brunch they serve either, there’s also a mouthwatering mains menu, as well as organic wines and cocktails.

However, it was the impressive brunch menu that caught my eye… especially as it’s served right up until 4pm. As well as the impressive list of brunch bowls, you have the choice of pancakes, waffles, traditional “grand breakfasts” with vegetarian and vegan options galore, smoothie bowls, granola, baked banana bread, superfood smoothies, avocado toasts… the list goes on. It’s huge, and seriously versatile.

Although vegan and vegetarian options take precedence here (something I feel Leeds has been missing a trick on for quite some time), I opted for the meat brunch bowl – a huge hot stone bowl filled with organic baked beans and egg, toasted sourdough, avocado, hummus, spicy lamb merguez sausage, streaky bacon, cherry tomatoes and purple sauté potatoes. It was breakfast like I’d never experienced before, felt in no way like I was eating “healthy” food and literally filled me to the brim. I actually couldn’t finish the portion. Not too shabby for £12.

All washed down with a Nutella latte – this really was the icing on the cake… your traditional good quality latte, served in a cup that’s slathered with Nutella – scraping the sides optional! I thoroughly enjoyed my WOLFØX experience, and feel rather excited about the new addition. Here’s hoping it thrives as I’m looking forward to indulging in much more of that wonderful looking menu.
