I think it’s pretty evident by now that I love a good Charlotte Tilbury Palette and these two new additions to my collection yet again didn’t disappoint…
The Vintage Vamp – I’d actually been on the hunt for a rose gold esque pallete for a while and had been considering the Huda Beauty palette, until last week when I watched the Instagram live to promote the Kuwait Beauty Wonderland launch; where this palette was used. I’ve actually never given this one a second look before, but seeing the colours being used together I was literally mesmerised and knew I had to have it right now. It’s a beautiful mix of burgundy, coppery and rose gold shades and seriously plays up to its “vamp” title. For me, this is more of an evening palette, not one I’d use in the daytime; but pair this with a classic red lip for an evening out, and you’ve got the serious wow factor.
The Uptown Girl – Oh this palette, OH this palette. I think this has to be my new favourite… it just suits me so well and really makes my eyes pop! I have quite a pale skin tone and blue eyes with a hint of green, just for the record. It has such a wonderful mix of silvery, blush and champagne shades which work together to produce a really modern twist on the classic smokey eye, seriously guys – I adore it. The “pop” shade on this one (those are the shimmer shades you find at the bottom right of all the palettes) is probably the sparkliest shade I’ve found yet in a Tilbury palette – the picture doesn’t even do the glitz justice! Top tip by the way, whenever I apply these palettes; I always find I get the best results if I apply the shimmery pop shades over the top using my middle finger – it just gives a bit more pigmentation and intensity.
