I’ve been contemplating purchasing this for, probably just under a year now. But if I’m being honest I was really wary over spending that much money on a product to risk it being anything short of pretty damn special. So on my last Charlotte Tilbury order, I requested a sample… and less than a week later, purchased the full size. It’s an all over body highlighter that can be used to add glow and contour the skin. First thing I noticed about this was how gorgeous it made my skin feel; beautifully soft, smooth and hydrated and when it’s actually applied and rubbed in – your skin literally looks like it’s glowing with health. The tube has a really handy metal rollerball for application, which is really cooling and revitalising. I apply mine to my collarbones, tops of my arms and my décolletage; my skin is left looking radiant and in the right light it has the most delicate touch of sparkle and shimmer. Such a winner for me, and one I’m certain I’ll be making a repeat purchase of.
If you regularly read my blog, you’ll already know how much I love the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, so I don’t think I need to go on about them anymore than I already have – they’re the best! This one is a fun, bright red; with an undertone of orange. I did expect it to be more red, if I was going by the website alone – so perhaps one to take a look at in person first; to make sure it suits – but personally, I really like it. It’s not one of those shades you’d just find anywhere.
Hollywood Lips Liquid Lipsticks – Rising Star & Screen Siren
The new liquid lipsticks from Charlotte Tilbury have been creating quite the buzz over on social media. To be fair, it is pretty exciting when one of your favourite brands ever bring out an entirely new range to add to the already wonderful collection of products. First of all, 10 / 10 for packaging, I adore it; it’s so timeless and classic; the applicator is also something that’s been extremely well thought out, probably the best liquid lipstick applicator I’ve experienced so far; tapered at the end to get a precise outline, then just wide enough to nicely cover the entire lip effortlessly – big thumbs up here. Formula wise, again probably one of the best liquid lipsticks I’ve tried – coverage is brilliant, it glides on beautifully and isn’t drying at all (however it is important to mention that I have lip fillers, so my lips don’t get as dry as they usually would). But… and this really is a big but, the shade swatches on the Charlotte Tilbury website are way off what the product actually looks like; particularly I feel, with Rising Star. I bought mine the day they came out, when there were no reviews online and I went back for a look on the website yesterday, and it seems I’m not the only one thinking the same thing. As these lipsticks can only be purchased online at the moment, it is something that needs sorting. Rising Star is described on the website as a “warm pink” and the photograph portrays it as a warm rose petal pink, but I’d say it’s much more of an orangey pink – and not really what it looks like on the models lips at all. Luckily for me, I do still really like the colour and it suits my skin tone, however I was contemplating buying the “Charlotte Darling” shade too, but now I think I’ll wait until they’re released in store so I can try the shade before I commit. On the plus side, Screen Siren is much more true to shade; and will be a staple colour for me this Winter – I’m in love with it.
A total repeat purchase here, one of my can’t live without makeup items. It consists of a face sculpt (bronzer) and a highlighter. I use the fair-medium pallete. The bronzer is nice and subtle – provides just the right amount of glow, and is lovely and delicate. Would I purchase it alone – maybe not, but that’s only because I’ve never really been that interested in bronzers as a single product. But the highlight… now that is something else altogether. It’s incredible, seriously – incredible! It makes my skin appear as if I’m constantly lit by candlelight, it’s perfect – I add it to my cheekbones, my cupids bow, the tip of my nose, centre sides of my forehead and a little in the centre of my chin and it makes my face look flawless. And actually, as I’m writing this – I mentioned above that I wouldn’t be interested in buying the bronzer on it’s own, but in this palette it works so well, as both seriously compliment each other and come to think of it.. I’m not sure the glow would work as incredibly without. If you only ever buy one Charlotte Tilbury product, I urge you to consider this one.
Wonder Glow Beauty Flash Primer
Guys OH MY GOD. This stuff is incredible! I can only comment with regards to using it on no makeup days; I use a pretty full coverage foundation, so I feel it would probably get lost under there… but on those days when you don’t want to wear anything, this just makes your skin look all smooth, glowy, blurry (in a good way!) and radiant. I’ve only been using it a few weeks, and I’m not sure I could live without it now – it just makes me feel so much more confident going bare faced. Why didn’t I discover this sooner?! I’ve inserted a swatch of the product – which obviously isn’t how it would sit on the skin – but it lets you see how pretty and illuminating it is.

CT packaging is so nice! I haven’t tried any CT products but I definitely want to try the bronzer and highlighter duo:)
