Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay Cologne

Jo Malone is always my favourite indulgence, and I keep discovering new products and scents in there that blow me away. What I love most about Jo Malone is that their fragrances are so unique, I’ve never been one to enjoy following the crowd and I like my purchases, especially my scents to be different from everyone else. That’s what you get with Jo Malone. The colognes also react with your own body chemistry (I always say this is the sign of a good fragrance), so any cologne you do purchase from Jo Malone, will always smell very slightly different to everyone else, as it reacts with your own skin.

My boyfriend gifted me with the Blackberry & Bay bath oil this Christmas, and recently I took a long bath in it; now when I got out, I honestly just couldn’t get over the smell. So much so, I quickly purchased the cologne and the candle, I truly found it that amazing. Now I always advise with scent that you need to try it for yourself before purchasing, especially with good fragrances such as Jo Malone – but this week, I took one of my best friends into the store and she fell in love with this particular scent too; we then got onto discussing how it would make the perfect wedding day fragrance for her.

For me, the scent epitomises Spring. It’s fresh, individual, delicate yet extremely long lasting; it has a very subtle hint of masculinity (something I always look for in my perfumes – but as I say, my friend and I agreed this would be the perfect bridal fragrance, so it is subtle) and also smells very clean yet delicately sweet.
