Candy Cane Love Heart Lollipops

Candy Cane White Chocolate LollipopsSo easy and quick to make, these candy cane lollipops make the perfect home made festive stocking filler; or alternatively, a fun treat to enjoy yourself whilst wasting away an afternoon watching festive films. You can also get as creative as you like, and change up the ingredients to suit your own taste.

Ingredients

Mini candy canes

White chocolate

Popping candy / sprinkles

Method

Heat your oven to 220 degrees.

Whilst the oven is heating, prepare the candy canes on some non-stick oven paper. Centre the lollipop sticks, then put two candy canes around this, in a love heart shape.

When the oven is hot enough, put the tray of candy canes in for two minutes; but be sure to keep an eye on them, as you don’t want the candy canes to start melting. If they look like they could be melting, take them out.

Once the two minutes is up, remove the tray and begin shaping – you’ll need to be quick here! Bring the ends together, so that they close in around the lollipop sticks, I also pulled mine out slightly at the sides to make a better love heart shape. Once you’re satisfied, leave to cool.

Whilst cooling, melt your chocolate. I also put some popping candy in my chocolate to make them more fun.

When the candy is completely cooled and has solidified again, gently pour your chocolate into the centre and decorate as you’d like.

Leave to set, then enjoy!
