Struggling for choices on where to enjoy your Sunday lunch today? Then look no further than Piccolino. Priced at just £25 for two to share, you will be provided with a sumptuous platter of either roast beef, pork or chicken (the picture above is the roast chicken) with all the trimmings. This includes a rather generous portion of the most amazing greens I’ve ever tasted, literally! I’m not sure what the secret is, but they are cooked and flavoured to absolute perfection and trust me, it is not very often that I rave about vegetables… You also get a hearty portion roast potatoes, actually too many for my boyfriend and I to consume between us – another rarity, believe me.
If you have an extra ordinary appetite, you can also add extras on such as creamy mashed potatoes and melt in the mouth cauliflower cheese (as we did, but then found out we really didn’t need to, as the portions are more than sufficient for two). They were absolutely delicious though, and I therefore regret nothing!
The drinks selection is wonderfully thought out, they serve my all time favourite dessert wine here, one I’ve struggled to find anywhere else in the country. However, on this occasion we were so full up, dessert was most definitely not on the menu and I therefore opted to enjoy my meal with a gin cocktail instead… How amazing does it look?!
The service here is always spot on, we never have any complaints – the waiters are so attentive and really work hard to give you a personal experience. Oh, and not forgetting the complimentary bread selection provided at the start of every meal. Such a lovely touch and the bread is heavenly, it’s actually that good – we asked to purchase a full loaf to take home on one particular visit.
