No Bake Chocolate & Peanut Butter Slices

This is a recipe I originally got from the internet, but then I decided to play around with it a little, and give it a bit of a twist. It’s so simple to make, tastes amazing, and as the title suggests – it’s no bake, bonus!

Ingredients:

300g (one pack) milk chocolate digestives

200g 70% cocoa dark chocolate

190g peanut butter (I used Creamy Reeces)

90g butter

Method:

Put the whole packet of digestives in a food processor and mix until fine. Melt the butter and add to the digestives, along with 2 tbsp’s of your peanut butter. Give it another whizz until smooth.

Put the mixture into a rectangular baking tin; I lined mine with greaseproof paper as it makes for a much easier removal. Push the mixture down, ensuring all corners are covered and the base is flat, then refrigerate whilst you carry out the next steps.

You’ll now need to take 2 tbsp’s peanut butter and put to one side for the topping. Slowly melt your chocolate in a large mixing bowl and combine the rest of the peanut butter until smooth. I may have included a few extra grams of chocolate to this recipe, just incase you wanted to steal a few squares before melting it down, however extra chocolate will do the recipe no harm.

Remove your base from the fridge, and gently pour the melted chocolate mixture over the top.

Take the remaining 2 tbsp’s peanut butter that you separated earlier and put this in the microwave for just a few seconds until runny. Gently dollop this on top of the chocolate and swirl through with a butter knife.

Put in the fridge to set for about an hour, slice up, don’t share with anyone and enjoy.
