The Bridge Hotel – Spa Day and Afternoon Tea

The Bridge Hotel is my favourite place in Leeds to visit. I come here every year for my birthday and I also took my friend as a treat recently before she got married. The Bridge is situated on the outskirts of Leeds, in Wetherby. The location is perfect as it’s based in such a peaceful and stunning area.

The Bridge Hotel and Spa

This beautiful sanctuary offers a scenic courtyard, where I love to indulge in afternoon tea, a thermal suite, Japanese foot spas, an experience drench shower, eucalyptus steam room, two saunas – including an outdoor Nordic barrel sauna – a flotation room, a rasual mud room, a beauty suite, couples room, relaxation room and my two personal favourites; an outdoor hot tub and relaxing lavender garden.

The outdoor hot tub is amazing and also comes paired with an ice cold plunge pool for the more daring ones amongst us. On my most recent visit, my sister and I happily sat in the hot tub for what felt like hours, unwinding and sipping champagne & fruit juices; which may I add were brought out to us – brilliant service.

We also opted for the rasual mud treatment which was so much fun. The treatment lasted just over 30 minutes and was such a fantastic experience, we came out feeling replenished and the mud used made our skin feel so soft and nourished. We then finished the treatment with a 30 minute flotation experience – wow – you have to try this at least once in your life, it’s quite surreal and was that relaxing we both almost fell asleep.

We spent the majority of our afternoon in the hot tub, sauna and lavender garden; but we did manage to try everything. The foot spas are lovely as there are two of them, so we were able to just sit down, chat and laze around. We also ventured upstairs to the relaxation room for a little while, this was also full of fashion, beauty and bridal magazines. Perfect.

We were pretty hungry after our strenuous afternoon of doing nothing, and so we ordered the delightful afternoon tea for two, which was delectable and there was just the right amount of food for us to both share; and of course, we couldn’t leave without treating ourselves to a hot chocolate each – all brought to us with a smile. There was also free spring water and iced tea on offer throughout our stay.

The girls running the spa are so so friendly and love having a chat, they constantly asked us if we were okay and needed anything – but we were also left alone to enjoy our experiences too. Everytime I visit the spa, I never feel it is overbooked – they let just the right amount of people in so that you can still enjoy your day in peace.

I also left with a wonderful Natural Spa Factory candle that I purchased, this not only smells exquisite when you light it, but the wax can also be used as a body oil to moisturise the skin. This is just one of the many products that are available within the spa.

I’d thoroughly recommend The Bridge for that special occasion, be it a birthday, hen party or just an excuse to treat yourself. It really does make for the most glorious afternoon. For more information on treatments and packages you can click here.
