What’s in my Makeup Bag?

image1

Here’s a quick rundown of my all time favourite make-up products. I’ll do individual reviews on some of the products if people want to know more. I don’t actually wear these products all at once, I tend to carry much more makeup than I need to around with me!

Molton Brown Hand Cream

I got a set of these hand creams for Christmas and they are beautiful. I kind of don’t like using them incase they run down (sad I know). My favourite and the one I’m using at the moment is Pink Pepperpod, which just so happens to be my favourite Molton Brown range.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

Most people will be familiar with this product, but for those who aren’t – it’s simply amazing. I use it for everything, but mainly on my lips. It really does heal the skin in eight hours.

Tom Ford Ultra Shine Lipgloss

My favourite cosmetic of all time, I’ve posted a separate review on this product here.

HD Brows Eyebrow Palette

I use the shade “Foxy”. I’ve had this palette for over two years now and if I’m being honest, it’s barely even gone down. It’s brilliant for filling in eyebrows and stays put all day long. Sometimes I use it as a liner underneath the waterline, too.

Benefit Rockateur

This blusher is so pretty, another product you kind of don’t want to use in fear of ruining it. Both the packaging and the product are gorgeous. A rosy pink blush with delicate gold shimmer (that is very very subtle), perfect for paler complexions.

Benefit You Rebel Lite

I’ve heard a rumour this product may be getting discontinued, if it does I will be rather upset. This product is perfect for those days when I can’t be bothered really wearing any makeup, but still want to even out my complexion. It’s so easy to use too and rubs right in. Although, I did once try the original shade and to be honest, I looked like I had smeared boot polish all over my face. Stick to You Rebel Lite, unless you have a more olive skin tone.

Rimmel Soft Kohl in Jet Black

I’ll be honest, I can be a bit of a makeup snob and only purchased this when I lost my Mac Kohl and was desperate for a replacement a few hours before a big night out. However, this is just as good – it really is! It was under half the price too. Don’t get me wrong, I adore Mac and had no problems with their product; but for those on a budget – this is perfect.

Mac Creme Cup

The perfect everyday lipstick, this is included as part of my Mac Nudes review, which you can find here.

Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation

For everyday wear, I use Mac Studio Fix Fluid; but for evenings out I’ll use this. It’s in a much more convenient tube, as oppose to the glass bottle – so is wonderful for popping in your handbag and it also offers a little extra coverage.

Mac Studio Fix Powder

This would be my dessert island product. I couldn’t live without it. I use it for setting my foundation, regardless of the occasion and it gives me the most amazing complexion – so many people ask me what product I use on my skin, it’s fantastic.

Benefit Roller Lash

My new favourite mascara, I’ve done a review of how this compares to They’re Real, which you can read here.

Benefit They’re Real

This is the ultimate mascara and really helps when I want to add extra volume and length for nights out.

Mac In Synch Lip Pencil

This is a lovely nude pink, that I will use if I want to add a little colour to my complexion in the daytime. I line my lip with it and then just blend the colour inwards to fill the whole lip – perfect for a more natural look.

Mac Lip Conditioner

This has the loveliest vanilla smell and provides a brilliant base for my lipstick to just glide on top of. It also plumps my lips out when they are looking a little dehydrated, especially in the winter.

Jack Wills Rose Lip Balm

I got given this in a set of three for Christmas and it’s so good. I’m a bit of a lip balm addict and this one is my favourite at the moment. It smells and tastes amazing and works wonders – it’s such a treat to apply.

The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is so stinky…
That TF lipgloss looks amazing, so spendy though!
Do you touch up your makeup during the day? I mostly bring with me powder and concealing products for touch ups, and of course, lip balms!

    • Only my eyeliner really, but sometimes I don’t even need do that. Depends if I’m going out after work or not. The older version of the 8 hour cream used to smell, but my new tube isn’t as bad. It’s worth the smell 🙂

  2. Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream is almost always within arms reach. I’m addicted to it. So addicted…
