Choccywoccydoodah

I visit this shop every time I come to London. As soon as you enter, you feel as if you’ve been transported into a different world; an extremely pretty, magical and impelling world. It would almost be forgivable to forget that this is actually a chocolate shop, as you wander amongst the stunningly unique cake displays. This shop is like no other.

Located on Fouberts Place, just off Carbaby Street; is home to this delightful chocolate haven – you would struggle to miss it. It was only on my most recent trip to London I discovered that neatly hidden away upstairs, there is also a cafe. I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I’m an absolute self confessed chocoholic and so I simply could not wait to experience the delights of this cafe.

Upstairs is just as quirky as downstairs, the decor is beautiful and eye catching, and the cafe is laden with dainty furniture to sit down and relax on. Here, we ordered three milkshakes; chocolate, peanut butter and peanut butter & banana. The shakes were topped with cream and tasted as luxurious as they looked. I may potentially go as far as to say, it was one of the best milkshakes I have ever experienced. However be warned, the shakes are almost a meal in themselves and really filled us up – not that I am complaining, especially not at only Β£3 each.

Our dessert selections were the triple layer cake and the dipping pot. The dipping pot is a pot of molten chocolate served with lots of little sweets to dip in and enjoy. Pure indulgence. We also made a last minute decision to finish our selection with a chocolate ice cream sundae, it was too much to resist. This was far from the normal, boring ice cream sundae offering. The sundae came with a mountain of layers including chocolate brownies, shortbread, molten chocolate, chocolate curls and chocolate truffles.

We ordered the food to share between three and managed to finish about half of it. I’d really recommend doing it this way if you choose to take a visit, as it allowed us to experience a variety of options on the menu. This is hands down one of my all time favourite places to treat myself and it honestly is a must do when visiting the capital – I am almost glad I don’t live in London, as I fear it may be dangerous for my waistline.
